The Company

  • Robert Half is working on an exclusive basis with a leading investment company based in Abu Dhabi who are market leaders in their field. Due to a reorganisation they are looking to recruit a Senior Manager Audit, Financial Compliance and Reporting

The Role

  • This role is required to help ensure financial compliance within the business. It ensures that all audits are looked at with the overall consolidated entity in mind, to help to make the financial system as efficient as possible, to ensure that IFRS is correctly interpreted from the standards and to challenge each business unit accordingly and to ensure reliable and useful financial information is available in terms of budgets and forecasts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversight of the group financials and review of any issues effecting the group (30+ entities)
  • Technical IFRS expert for the firm
  • Guide and manage two-member team for Reporting and JDE technical support.
  • Support the preparation of financial plans across the group, financials statements, financial analysis, projections and information including due diligence process of financial statements.
  • Oversight of annual budget and long term profitability planning quarterly (10-15 year view)
  • Support the preparation and review of the monthly reporting packs and ensure timely submission.
  • Support the preparation and review the monthly cash flow reports with rolling forecast.
  • Lead the entire audit activity from engagement to till signing off the audit report.
  • Prepare the consolidated financial statements as per IFRS.
  • Coordinate with valuation experts for year-end valuations of projects and derivatives
  • Design and development of new reports in JDE with the support of JDE technical experts.
  • Review and guide teams on complex accounting issues and also advise on accounting treatment based on IFRS
  • Develop and design new reports or models such as bespoke scenario profitability models, Rent rolls, Cash flow models etc.
  • Support with the requested documents for completion of annual corporate tax returns and subsequent queries.
  • Act as a JDE and Insight functional lead support.

Candidate Requirements

  • It is anticipated that the successful candidate will have the following qualifications, knowledge, skills, experience and competencies:
  • Undergraduate degree (MBA and/or ACA/CPA or equivalent post-graduate qualification desirable)
  • Big 4 background
