Description

The Company

Our client, an international financial institution based in the QFC in Doha, are looking for an experienced back office professional to lead a small team largely responsible for settlements and administration for a corporate and private banking unit.

The Role

  • Handle incoming and outgoing payments in favour or on behalf of the Bank's clients, exchange transactions:
    • Verification of code-keys on clients' payment orders;
    • Verification of funds' sufficiency on clients' accounts;
    • Create payment transactions via T24 FT module;
    • Perform accounting entries regarding client payments;
  • Verify the payment documents' conformity to the conditions of the account;
  • Handle investigation cases of the incoming and outgoing client and Bank's payments;
  • Collect commission charges and correspondent charges from clients;
  • Perform accounting of the indebtedness and relevant interests on loan transactions in accordance with accounting policy of the bank;
  • Supervise the appropriate calculation and prompt payment of interests on loans transactions;
  • Monitor maturity of loans;
  • Prepare notices for the clients regarding the repayment of interest and principal;
  • Keep files of complete sets of documents relating to clients' payment orders and loans transactions;
  • Perform various administration duties;

The Candidate

  • University Degree in a related field;
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in banking industry;
  • Previous experience at a similar position is an advantage;
  • Knowledge of SWIFT rules and legislation;
  • Experience in T24 (Temenos) is a strong advantage;
  • Knowledge of any computerized accounting package will be considered as a plus;
  • Ability to work independently and be proactive;
  • Learning agility, ability to work in a fast-moving environment;
  • Previous managerial experience (Team Leader/ Supervisor) is a value; ability to motivate and manage people is a big plus;
  • Attention to detail/accuracy;
  • Computer literacy (MS Office);
  • Fluent English is a must.
