  • Academic/ University degree in business economics or similar qualification
  • Very strong Financial & Analytical Skills proven multi-year experience in a finance manager role, credit manager role or similar senior position
  • Sound Credit Control experience in a similar environment and processes (able to assess country risk, good knowledge of securities such as LC-s, bank guarantees, etc)
  • Accounting and reporting requirements, mainly IS GAAP & basic taxation knowledge
  • Proven ability to address challenges, initiates and implements corrective actions
  • Self-driven to meet tight deadlines, able to handle stress will
  • Excellent written and verbal communication & presentation skills
  • High level of interpersonal skills - can work effectively with both internal and external colleagues, cross-functional personnel, at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently with a team of remote manages and colleagues
  • SAP and preferably BP&C knowledge, high levels Microsoft office skills
  • Must be Fluent in English and French
  • Manage a direct and/or remote team of total 2-3 people.

Key activities Credit Management

  • Directs the Credit team (Credit Risk Management, Collections and Dispute Resolutions, (Cash Application where applicable) and Operations Support. Guides personnel with the resolution of issues regarding account assignments.
  • Responsible for delivering expected results in terms of DSO, Past Due and Risk Management for portfolio of mainly Middle East Regions' customers.
  • Follows the Corporate Credit Policy in the Region; align the business operations and work with the teams according the this policy.
  • Interfaces and reports through WW Credit Manager and Regional Finance Manager to ensure consistent application of credit policies; procedures and performance metrics
  • Escalate in a timely manner any questions beyond the level of authority
  • Leads process improvement efforts in credit area for the business to achieve operational goals
  • Pro-actively review and control key customer accounts, work with controllers for all customer account related matters
  • Pro-actively initiate communication with business partners and customers to improve payments, credit limits and positively contribute to revenue generation
  • Take actions in time, leasing with sales team to assure correct and timely billing and collections
  • Prepare annual and quarterly AR (accounts receivable) budgets, analyse and explain variance with actual results
  • Estimate monitor and control on past due balances and goals
  • Work with controllers on bad debt reserve calculations, and on any other customer related accounting matters
  • Analysis of banking charges regarding payments, collections, bank guarantees

Working with METIS Finance Manager

Monthly Reports, Annual Budgets and Forecasts:

  • Lead the cluster and country level, monthly, quarterly and annual estimating and reporting processes, working closely with sales team
  • Provide sound analysis, supporting the reported results, explaining variances between the estimates and the actual results, at the required detail (of country and product mix)
  • Detailed analysis of the management PL, including analysis of revenue, cogs, basic margin, gross margin, operational earing
  • Detailed analysis of the SG&A (sales and admin) expenses, including, including sales, finance, facility, general admin and OTC (one time costs)
  • Prepare and monitor the capital and investment budgets (all capex items including depreciation estimates)
  • Work in tight cooperation with other functions including sales operations and service functions, for data reviews, estimate processes and any other business requirements
  • Business cases and BMI (pricing) approval
  • Actively supporting sales reams by preparing and analysing business cases, presenting to higher management when needed
  • Sharing the results of the pricing committee approvals to assure correct pricing and configurations are included in the direct tender processes
  • Work with controllers to review significant business plans/tenders to ensure business case assumptions' are set correctly and risky and/or significant points are highlighted in the bossiness cases
  • Controlling and approving sales quotes, in-line with corporate guidance

Other various tasks

  • Support the EM Finance Director on similar tasks or other miscellaneous business requirements at the consolidated regional level
  • Able to manage time, to answer additional ad-hoc queries from various functions
  • Assure overall correct, compliant and profitable business environmental and provide finance support for the operations
  • Co-operate actively with the local controller to:
    • Review all key items, impacting performance and estimates
    • Prepare & follow up on watchlist items (key issues of the region)
    • Review and support booking of Rebates/ Commissions / Discounts / Promotions accruals; and link the relevant information to the estimate process
    • Ensure review of Revenue Recognition model for projects
  • Provide support to the cash forecast for the cluster/country by working with treasury
  • Identify Margin/ Cash/EBITDA improvement opportunities and lead implementation actions
  • Be supportive and be willing to participate and manager other miscellaneous projects or tasks the might come both at cluster and regional level
  • Ensures policies, processes and procedures and adhere to and in compliance with Audit requirement
