The Company

Our client is one of the leading banks in the UAE and Robert Half International has been assigned to recruit for a Product Controller to come on board and work very closely with the rest of the team to further develop the product control function

The Role

Key responsibilities will be

Daily P&L production & reviewing of P&L models
Monitoring cash flow and collateral requirements
Maintaining control of the banks books and records including all sub-ledger
Month-end closing of the banks books and records, including P&L, balance sheet and balance sheet substantiation
Price verification, profitability analysis and attribution
Implementation of accounting pronouncements and fair value policies
Interfacing with other areas of the Banks including financial reporting, Corporate Treasury, Operations, Technology, Risk and Accounting Policy
Compliance with various internal and external reporting requirements
Extensive interaction with the relevant sales-desks
Various tactical and strategic systems projects

Profile

The ideal candidate will have the following experience/qualifications

Relevant professional qualification (ACA, CPA, CA, ect);
A minimum of 5 years experience as a product controller
Blue-chip background having worked for a leading financial institution, preferably in one of the worlds major financial centers (London, New York, Singapore, ect);
Strong Excel-skills with basic understanding of VBA
