Commercial Finance Controller

The Company

Our client is one of the leaders in their field. Due to their continued success they have won a number of key projects and are rapidly expanding through the Middle-East

The Role

Reporting into the Finance director you will provide support to all business units reviewing processes and procedures looking at profitability and ways to improve this as well as reducing costs. You will also work very closely with operations to fully understand the business in order to add value and impact the bottom line

Key responsibilities will be

• Driving the P+L, pushing the business forward
• Responsible for all financial aspects of individual projects. Cost control, profitability and contract negotiations
• Ensure that Group procedures are respected and put in place to improve control and risk appraisals
• Implement KPI's and support the business units in order to meet key targets and reach profit targets
• Accountable for the accuracy of accounting and ensure that reporting is fulfilled within deadlines to the management and to the Group
• Manage a team of 12 people across different geographies

Profile

The ideal candidate will have the following experience/qualifications

• Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, CA)
• 5 years post qualified experience ideally within a commercial role with the ability to demonstrate where they have added value and been involved in change management
• Candidates who have managed costs on major projects and worked in a more operational capacity will be preferred
• This role will require travel to countries such as Afghanistan and Iraq so you MUST be ok with this
• Must have worked for a multi-national previously
• Must have controlled a business unit or country previously
• Highly motivated, pro-active person who if they see something wrong will go and improve or change it
• Strong Excel and system skills are required

Pay and Benefits

Up to 35,000aed per month plus excellent benefits and bonus
